Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a charity dinner held by the St. Charles Borromeo Club of Florida, Inc., an organization, which my father helps chair. The dinner takes place annually and proceeds are appropriated to the development of Borgne, Haiti and overall support of the town’s residents. Proceeds from this and other events help fund the groups annual medical mission trip to Borne in July. The trip brings nurses, doctors and other medical professionals to the town and allows hundreds of residents and visitors from nearby towns to receive medical care. The group also provides book bags and other school supplies for school children as well as lends efforts towards beautification of the town.
The St. Charles Borromeo Club of Florida, Inc., has made tremendous strides in improving the quality of life for the people of Borgne and by the looks of it will continue to do. I’m proud of my Father and his colleagues for their continued commitment to this cause and applaud the work they are doing for Borgne and its people. Here are a few pictures from the dinner.
